You must get clear on your dreams and goals if you want to live the life of your dreams. Knowing what you want is the first step to success.
So how can you find out what it is you really want?
“The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: decide what you want.” – Ben Stein
Dream big
Logic only gets you from A to B.
Unfortunately, I’m a pretty logical, down-to-earth kind of person. Things need to make sense, and possible obstacles immediately pop up in my head, whether I want to or not.
Let your (positive) imagination run wild. Life will be so much more fun. At some point, you’ll need logic, but not right from the start.
Imagination allows us to come up with new ideas, new solutions and better ways to do things.
Don’t limit yourselves by thinking how (un)practical something is.
Imagine, dream big and figure out the details along the way!
If you get practical too soon, you’ll never unlock all the great ideas that are buried deep in your mind.
List your dreams and goals
This is the first step to success. One way to do this is to sit down with a nice cup of coffee and a pen and paper.
Imagine what your perfect life looks like a few years from now.
Get really specific and try to picture every aspect of your life
- work
- business
- family
- friends
- health
- finances
- possessions
- travel
- free time
- where you live
- values
Be as specific and as vivid as you can. And above all, don’t think about what’s reasonable or likely.
You can safely ignore common sense for now. We only want clarity.
This great exercise is about discovering the dreams and goals you really want.
Not what’s possible in your current situation.
Write it all down on your piece of paper
The more details you include, the easier it will be to develop a plan.
And define the steps necessary to achieve your goals and live your dreams.
For now, it doesn’t matter if your list is messy or if you prefer to sort it by categories right away.
Whatever works best for you.
Once you’re clear on your ideal life, you can write it down on a clean piece of paper, in a beautiful notebook or you can create a vision board / manifestation board.

It gives you specific examples and makes defining the life you want easier, faster, and it looks pretty, too.
Make a vision board / manifestation board
To make a vision board, you simply look for inspiring pictures on the internet that represent the dreams and goals you want, like
- a loving family
- friends having a good time
- beautiful travel destinations
- delicious healthy food
- your dream home in your dream location
- a person doing the sport you like
- the wonderful car you love
- pictures representing your hobbies (like Art, photography, music…)
- your dream office
- your financial freedom
- if you’d love to be on stage, put in a stage with an audience…
Make sure your pictures feel exciting to you. You need to feel happy about them.
You can also add words, sentences and quotes that resonate with you.
Permission to go crazy on your dreams and goals
Don’t censor yourself. You want to create the life of your dreams.
This fun activity is not about being reasonable.
Truly choose images you love, love, love.
The goal is to look at your vision board 7 manifestation board several times a day to give you direction and keep you inspired.
“When you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up in a random place.”
Let’s make sure that you know where you’re going.
The right focus will give you the right ideas.
And it keeps your mind aware to potential opportunities you may miss otherwise.
Keep in mind though, that this is only helpful if the images make you feel good.
Your vision board / manifestation board is a beautiful reminder of what you’re working towards.

Follow people you admire
Next, think of people who inspire you.
Who seems to live your dream life? Who is your role model?
It’s important that you find them inspiring and not depressing.
If following them makes you feel bad about yourself, that’s not the way to go.
But if seeing them motivates you to work on your dreams and goals, that’s awesome.
Most successful people are on different Social Media channels where they share their life with you.
It’s so easy to find them that you may already be following them anyway.
The complete Ninja Vision Workbook includes a section where you can fill in your role models.
Make an action plan to get the life of your dreams
Following your role models and creating your vision board / manifestation board keep you focused on your goals.
This won’t magically make your vision come true.
They are a reminder that you need to act and think in a way that ensures your success.
So, you look at your vision board and picture this beautiful life you want.
What do you think you have to do to make it all become real?
This is not about some vague feeling.
It’s about figuring out the practical steps you need to take to make your dreams come true.
The first step to success is to be specific
Be as specific as possible. And it’s important that you start small.
You don’t need to plan your life all the way through.
Especially if your vision will takes years to achieve.
Your plan shouldn’t overwhelm you…
Instead, it’s about giving you doable steps that get the momentum going.
This will convince your brain that you’re an action taker.
Keep the life you want top of mind!
Thanks to your vision board / manifestation board, your list and the people you admire, additional ideas will pop up over time.
Make sure you write them down and act on them. You may be surprised by all the great solutions you’ll find.

You already got momentum going and you’re excited about what’s coming next.
Now it’s time to follow through…
Use the specific steps you laid out in your plan.
